a long time ago,
I used Yahoo’s
search engine, email, and discussion groups.

Y made the email more difficult to use.
Y made it so their groups were not
easily browseable .

I have my primary email account with yahoo, which I set up in early 2003. I use it for practically everything I do, including paying bills. I sincerely hope nothing will change as far as retaining my yahoo email service. Thinking about having to reset such much of my life is too daunting to contemplate. I’m one of those rare people who still has nothing but a landline phone (no cell phone needed as I am home most of the time except to run errands or for medical appointments). Just keeping my fingers crossed that my email won’t be significantly changed.
I’ve used Yahoo mail since about 1998, but I slowly transitioning to Gmail. Who knows what plans the new owners have. Also, I hate the auto start videos that are now displayed on Yahoo mail. That’s one of the main reasons I’m leaving.
After the data breach, it won’t be worth half that.
