I was in Cleveland's Little Italy last week having dinner outside. A dozen Ohio State Police on motorcycles rode by and most of the diners were cheering them and waving. The libs on the block, including a few code pinkers, weren't happy about that.
Flags are half mast in my little berg in TN at least as of yesterday when I went to early vote for TN Primary local and 2 state, 1 federal, replacing a retiring a US Rep Stephen Fincher Dist. 8. Go Tom Leatherwood, go.
I fly the flag 24/7 lit at night.
I normally keep it at full staff, mostly in defiance of President Half-Staff.
If it is for a national figure, like Scalia, it comes down.
Our community recently had two deputies ambushed. It was half staff for them too.
I like your brand of patriotism.

With all due respect how about giving me a hand dumping the Alex Halley statue into the inner harbor pool. Let’s take care of the local outrages first.
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.”
That is not from War and Peace.
A ClintonKaine would be worse than a Sharknado.
