This could generate some good campaign ads. Compare the president’s words against so many recent terrorist attacks.
Heck the very day he made those remarks, the massacre in Munich was taking place.
It was the worst of times, but these jackholes run around saying thanks to them, these are the best of times.
/war and peace paraphrase
If the SS had any integrity the flag at the WH would have been flown upside down all this time.
If anyone in the District of Corruption had any integrity the Keyanesian Usurpation would not have happened
I remember asking some coworkers not long ago if any of them knew why the flag was being flown at full mast.
President Half Ass.
It might be Snooper Doogie Catshit died. After all, U.S. Ambassador Shirley Temple Black died and was ignored, but the flags were lowered for Whitney Houston, the drug addict.
It certainly is depressing seeing the flag at half-staff all the time. Perhaps it is a sign.
Gosh I was just thinking this the other day. Never in my life has the flag been lowered so very frequently. It used to be an extremely rare thing, now we can’t even be sure for which event it happens.
On another note, I’m liking the Freudian implications of “President Half Staff”!
President Half Ass.
U spel gud !!
Under the laws of war, in the Modern Era, you have to name a target.
It would be offensive to name Islam so instead, we created a franchise, which we can then bomb.
In another 10-15 years we will name a new franchise and keep the war industry in style....
Idea for the Trump era: do away with flying the flag at half staff.
Looks weak, depressing, pathetic and SAD.
Fallen world, something bad happens daily.
Half staff is about as helpful as a hashtag.
I have noticed this also where I am . I believe the U.S. flag should ONLY be lowered for US ,losses . Not for losses in any other country .
It makes us look weak to always have the flags at half staff all the time .
I am thinking of going up to half staff flags and raising the flag , if I can get away with it , in cases that DO NOT INVOLVE US losses .
Kas, your post has inspired me. Enjoy!

I know, I know, I was supposed to lower the flag this past week. And I try to be careful and practice good flag etiquette. But, with the Convention going on, it just didn’t seem the right thing to do, any more than it would be the right thing to do on the 4th of July or Armed Forces Day or Inauguration Day. It’s not about not honoring the fallen, it’s about honoring the flag. We aren’t supposed to lower the flag for another nations’ tragedy unless it involves ‘dignitaries’.
