I’m not anti-police, but damn, every single department in the country needs to retrain their officers on the use of force. And require them to do firearms training four times a year.

What training would you suggest over what they are doing now?
There is a great market for new and innovated police training maybe you should start some.
I'd make them do one Saturday a month at least, maybe 2. That would be 13-24 firearm sessions a year. It would take that long to go over the entire spectrum of using lawful deadly physical force and its legal/social consequences.
