Rush has a bit of a blind spot on this Ted Cruz thing. Rush has said repeatedly for 10 years at least that when you put a true conservative up for the voters, it will bring out the base and the conservative message will win the day. So Cruz comes along, looking and sounding like a conservative, and he loses. Rush seems to be having a hard time reconciling this. I think it is two things; 1. Cruz is not believable or accomplished as a conservative. 2. The voters feel hoodwinked by all the conservative tea party candidates they elected, but got zero results from.
A true outsider is what won the day.
“The voters feel hoodwinked by all the conservative tea party candidates they elected, but got zero results from.”
Ding, ding, ding!! We have a winner!
I felt like throwing up this morning when Rush started making excuses for Cruz. He basically said it was all Trump’s fault for calling Cruz wife and father names and for lying about Cruz! Truth of the matter is Trump never called Cruz’s wife names and the Nat Inquirer ran the story on Rafael Cruz and his possible connection to Oswald. Trump had nothing to do with it, he just commented on the story. It was Cruz who lied about Trump for 3 solid months every time he opened his mouth. It was Cruz who got caught running his mouth about Trump behind closed doors to a room full of donors saying Trump didn’t have the temperament or judgement to be president. Trump found out about it and playing nice was over with the Canadian fraud. Each and every debate after that no matter what question Cruz was asked he turned it into an attack on Trump. Cruz needs to get his ass back to Canada and run for Parliament. His days as a politician in the United States are numbered.
I think option 3. The voters went for someone who is competent and fights. If you spent much time watching D.C. you would not even think that is an option.
