Bullcrap.
Trump had the choice to allow Cruz to speak or not. If Trump had NOT allowed Cruz to speak, THAT would have been vindictive, and people like you would have been screaming. Barring Cruz from the stage would have been dumb.
But Trump did the smart thing by figuratively handing Cruz a piece of rope. Cruz could have used that rope to bind people together, but instead he used that piece of rope to hang himself.
It's a shame that this supposedly brilliant person was so blinded by his ambition that he couldn't see what the outcome would be, but by looking back over the primary campaign, what Cruz did last night was totally in character.
I guess we’ll just have to disagree on this one.

Bingo. There was, demonstrably, no "trap" set for poor, guileless, whey-faced Cruz; he brought this all upon himself, by selfishly indulging in a pouty, pissy little temper tantrum -- live, before a broadcast audience of millions -- in the private, intimate venue of a massive sound stage during a major political convention.
No one cunningly tricked him into behaving like a tweener girl denied a Saturday trip to the mall with her friends.
No one forced or coerced him into standing up there on stage and deciding to hold his breath until he turned blue.
Adoring Cruz apologists need not despair, however: if everything they so self-evidently believe regarding their sulky boy-messiah does turn out to be true, he'll doubtless simply rise up again in three days, or something. ;)
