Apparently she offered her resignation but Trump wouldn't take it - probably for the optics. High road, and all that.
On the other hand, I very much doubt he believes she made a mistake. And I also imagine that he made that very, very clear to her - along with some other things about her future, should she make any more mistakes.
I know I sure as hell would.

Trump said mistakes happen and have her a pass. The fact that she is a Democrat didn’t seem to bother his team at all. It bothers me.
Fire her butt even if she didn’t do it on purpose. There needs to be extremely minimal tolerance for stupidity on the Trump team or we will be witnessing the coronation of an unindicted criminal in November.
