Stepping onto the national stage for her first big appearance of the campaign, Melania Trump, wife of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, detailed her own personal journey from Slovenia to the U.S., and called her decision to become an American the greatest privilege on planet Earth.
Introduced by her husband, Mrs. Trump vowed her husband will never, ever, let you down

She’s too shiny to look at for too long without sunglasses.
Hubba hubba!
She is a vast improvement!
She was proud of this nation long before Michelle, because she’s a better person than Michelle.
No kidding. Easy on the eyes, esp. after 8 years of Auntie Esther.
As a person of Czech descent....I absolutely LOVED her speech.
My father, who recently passed away, was still angry about the invasion of Czechoslovakia. For a long time, our family sent care packages of tins of food, clothing, etc.
But when one of our Bohemian relatives asked for tennis balls, Gramps said, “Hey, if they need tennis balls... they don’t need our help anymore.” LOL! I miss my Dad and my Gramps. Anyway...
I think she is fantastic. I read that she doesn’t like to be in the public.
But she reminded people of the evil that is Communism.
She will be a strong, beautiful, lovely First Lady.
God bless her and her husband. She did an awesome job tonight! :)
Ya, but Michael LaVaughn Robinson was a better football player.
Yes. If she is some kind of nefarious plot aimed at my demographic, I am letting all of you know, right now, that I have been compromised.
She was fantastic. And I enjoyed her shout out to the ever-feisty Bob Dole, who slammed the entire Bush family yesterday.
I have to say that when she said that, she made me proud, and I felt honored. I loved that, it made me smile. Glad she is here.
I don’t care for Bod Dole very much, and I admit that I like to make fun of Bod Dole by saying Bod Dole!
But I respect Bod Dole for coming to the convention, even though I know he would have preferred it to be different.
Thank you, Bob. Thank you for respecting the voters.
It was either an ugly to the bone m####y or an I could look at that all day as Chris Matthews unknowingly proffered. Take your pick.
She will make a beautiful First lady.
Amazing. Marries an American.
Becomes First Lady! I like it.
Same here on my father's side. All of my "great, greats" were from there. After her speech, all I could think of is, I wish there could have been here to see this. I was fortunate enough to be stationed in Germany when the wall came down. Made many trips to Pilsen and Prague. The people there are the greatest. They love Americans.
Melania did beautifully! She will be an awesome First Lady!
She was awesome!
You didn’t hear that from Michelle Obama. They think citizenship is a right for the whole damn world to take for granted.
Too bad they fubared the speech. Did anyone read this ahead of time? Obviously it wasn’t that hard to figure out. The passages in question were practically verbatim. It’s like amatuer hour. Instead of celebrating a greatly delivered speech, we look like a bunch of idiots copying a speech from those we supposedly can’t stand. If I turned an English paper in for a grade in school like that, it would get an F. The lack of attention to detail is staggering.
Staggering?
LOL
