CLEVELAND, OH (KTRK) -- Former Texas governor and two-time Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry says he's interested in a role in a Donald Trump administration.
Speaking to reporters after addressing the Texas delegation on the first day of the party's national convention in Cleveland, Ohio, Perry said he'd reached out to the Trump campaign and expressed his interest in working with veterans issues.
Perry was flanked by military veterans when he announced his own 2016 campaign in North Texas more than a year ago. He is an Air Force veteran himself.
Perry also talked about having been a candidate, then endorsing rival Ted Cruz, and now backing the presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

He’s a globalist. Putting America, the American culture and Americans first, is a mortal sin.
Maybe he could be in charge of phasing out the Department of reEducation.
Put him in charge of eliminating Agencies, but only if he can quickly name three.
It might have helped his chances had he mentioned Trump in his speech to the convention.
Everyone wants to work for Trump, the list is growing
Having lived here for a piece of time, Texas is Tex-Mex. The Mex side is drawn into the Texas/American side of thought and expectations. I feel this is changing with the offspring of Mexican immigrants as they get radicalized (dumbed down).
As Perry has taken on the globalist ideology, he has weakened the tex-mex mixture and expectation (ideology) that IS Texas. The globalist ideology is suicide for the NATION of America so the NWO can take it’s place.
Perry got drawn into all that cultural cleansing of Texas, thinking he was “halping” the immigrants. I don’t think his multicultural assaults have been seen as evil or NWO by him...but they are evil. I think he’s stupid more than evil. Might be wrong.
LOL.......that as a debate disaster....still talked about.
