Several reasons.

Muslims in general, and Saudis in specific, have been “colonizing” areas of Northern Virginia for 20 or so years.

Then there’s the Islamic Saudi Academy, a large private school, paid for and run by the Saudi’s. . .

. . .and lastly, it’s far easier to get firepower in Virginia than in Maryland or DC. . .

Contamination spill over from D.C. Seems that D.C. dumps raw sewage into the Potomac, most of which washes up on Virginia.

My family lived in Fairfax County in the 60’s as my father (USAF) worked at the Pentagon. I would have thought the area home to a large numbers of true patriots - our military. This is sad news.

"..Personally, I think it’s just numbers. There are so many muzzies in Fairfax County, Arlington, and Alexandria, it’s inevitable.."

Agreed. First time I lived in NoVa the amount of middle-eastern people was a real shock to a NC boy. I remember an apartment building in Falls Church that was said to be almost 100% muslim. And that was back in the late 80's.

They breed like cockroaches.

You misunderstand. The quote I was correcting (”Cavalier State”) was from the article.

The term “Cavalier Commonwealth” goes back to the period when the forces under Oliver Cromwell (Roundheads) deposed Charles I. The “Cavaliers” were the individuals loyal to the deposed king; many of whom fled to what was then the colony of Virginia; hence the nickname.

Many, many years ago my Virginia History textbook in high school was entitled “The Cavalier Commonwealth;” so, that bit of trivia has always stuck w/me.

No offense intended to any Hokies out there; my younger brother graduated from there ...son graduated from “The University” (UVa) ...and I attended William and Mary; so, I have no dog in this fight. :^)

‘Take care.

Breitbart Last year, Obama directed his administration to accept at least 10,000 Syrian refugees over the course of this fiscal year…(but has since raised it to 100,000). However, Clinton said that Obama’s plan did not go nearly far enough— Clinton called for a 500% increase to Obama’s refugee resettlement operation.

As a born and bred Virginian I’ve always known it was a Commonwealth and not a State. In 60 years I’ve never heard it called “Cavalier Commonwealth”. Learn a new one every day, I guess. Then I googled it.

Were you around in 1900? :)

No, I’m 68; however, I must admit sometimes it seems like the first 25 years of my life were in a different universe!
