Having lost the presidential primary in dramatic fashion against Donald Trump, the man originally considered a frontrunner for the GOP candidacy, Jeb Bush, laid out his "vision" to reclaim the Republican Party from Donald Trumps "nativist rhetoric." Picking the Washington Post as his chosen op-ed venue, Bush said that Trump does not represent the future of the GOP or what it stands for.

I also recall that he said emphatically of Trump: “HE WILL NOT BE THE NOMINEE”.
Should the Bush dynasty fall it will take Jeb’s son with it. So it isn’t just himself he’s thinking of I bet.

Sorry Jeb, but laying flat on the ground while the Democrats run over us and proceed to ruin the country is not a vision. We’ve done that already. It’s worked really well, hasn’t it?

"Lets reintroduce civility, ideas and optimism back into politics."
The civility went away because it was fruitless. If he cares about the GOP, this is NOT the time to have this conversation, and the Washington Post is not the forum in which to initiate it.

It fits the WaPo narrative of all things bad about Trump. If Bush was supporting Trump, they would not give him the time of day.
However, Jeb needs to go home and rethink his career choice. This path is not working for him.
And, being a life-long Republican, I can tell you Trump is more of a Republican than Jeb Bush ever thought of being.
