IMO Lizzie’s not losing it, in fact this is the ideological view of the sexes which for her hasn’t changed in nearly five decades.
I can say that because I’m 68, became conservative at age 20, remember the sixties as morally repugnant, and haven’t changed since. America is the greatest nation the world has ever known! I’m also a Vietnam vet FWIW.
Lizzie’s been marinated in the opposite view for all those same years. She thinks she’s still the cutting edge revolutionary, but Lizzie is just a crashing bore of a tired old leftie.

Watching the values with which I grew up be trashed was it for me.
