I'm sure the democrats in Indiana were already collecting all of this. Pence's gubernatorial opponent would have been more than happy to share his research.

Also, Pence was mentioned as a possible candidate last year. I wouldn't put it past Clinton to have gathered data on all possible opponents early on.
