Not surprised.

Remember that even for a power mad leader such as Putin, he is also is an Orthodox Christian and Orthodox Christians have not forgotten what the Ottomon Turks did to country that is the home of Hagia Sophia.

Could very well be. There is no love lost between Putin and Erdogan, is there. I think Trump and Putin indeed may have much more of a confluence of interests than that of our current President whose interests coincide with those of Erdogan who it appears is no more (assuming the Coup succeeds, and I am praying that it does).

“I smell Putin behind this too.”

As I recall, right after the set up shooting of the Russian recon ac, Putin murmured something about Erdogan having more troubles than he could handle in Turkey in the very near future. Ambiguous statement. May have been coincidence.

:-)
