I wonder if this has anything to do with the current military coup in Turkey? In other words Putin is letting Kerry know that Russia means business....
Putin has been warning us that we are heading to World War III and it will most likley be nuclear.

for obvious reasons, Putin must have nothing but pure contempt for Obama/Kerry and all the mischief and mayhem and mass murders they’ve created on Russia’s periphery especially

Oh no doubt about it. He’s probably letting Kerry know he has Hillary’s emails and is now removing the Turkey government since NATO is surrounding him.

As long as the Administration demands the removal of Assad nothing is going to happen.

With a dozen planes and a couple hundred soldiers, Putin has checkmated Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Obama’s State Department.

Putin is obviously intimidated...

Obama and Kerry have conceded on Syria.
Watch them start to push now for Ukraine in NATO, declare asset seizures of Russian oligarchs tied to Putin, have various international organizations turn of the heat on “human rights” etc...

John Kerry’s first diplomatic job was on behalf of the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese government.
Under cover of a “honeymoon” trip to Europe, he met with the future Vice President of Communist Vietnam in a Paris hotel room.
Upon his return to the USA, Kerry was a reliable spokesperson for the Vietnamese communists, repeating their talking points and armistice terms to media and U.S. officials.
