Rudy is a far better choice for AG.

I think Trump will take every state around Ohio

Bold prediction that "Home state Hillary" will fail in Illinois?

No. I am not. I would not have wanted him for our candidate but I have not been disrespectful about it and I do respect the fact he won the nomination and I respect the will of the people. And..I am not a closet anything. My husband would confirm that.

I did not recall that Pence opposed Boehner for Speaker, but I remember Pence caving on religious freedom.

I like the choice, because Pence will not upstage Trump. I think that was a risk with someone like Newt or Christie. They like to run their mouths, and with Trump, it would have been too much.

That’s an excellent reason to choose Pence. But there’s another, even greater reason:

This is Trump’s first actual decision and it comes off as looking very calm, staid, stolid and presidential. Even though Hillary is screeching that Pence is an extremist, the fact is Pence is a very solid (even if a bit boring) choice and that’s what Trump needed to demonstrate: solidity, even if veering a bit toward boring solidity.

And then there is the whole mending fences with the GOPe, who we are going to need in this election.

I think this is overall an excellent choice.

Not even fools think him the best man for the job.

Yep, DT has kowtowed to the raptureheads.

I thought he had more balls than that.

Disappointed.

Not sure how a relatively unpopular governor from a safe GOP state helps at all.

You are correct, there are a lot of good people available.
I’m looking forward to seeing these better people in action.

Folks from Illinois don’t consider her one of theirs, and Emmanuel has lost control of Chicago. Farmers will vote red at the head of the ticket and still vote for the guy who isn’t going to put an end to their subsidy check.

It may well go Red. Question is whether AK will go blue.

To be honest just as with Trump , Pence was not my original choice. But both proved to be good strong choice after further research was done !
It is a very strong ticket of law abiding patriots.
They have the knowledge and tools to achieve the goals

Pence ran against Bonehead in 2006 for House minority leader.
“I remember Pence caving on religious freedom.”
That’s been ventilated here about 4 dozen times.

What biggest embarrassment?? And I beg to differ. I have heard so many Republicans who run the Republican party here in Texas who are very concerned about so many other things as well as the lack of dignity in Trump. I do not want this to turn into an argument. It was an observation and I certainly understand if you disagree with me. And I respect your right to your own opinion.

Trump did say Newt will be in his administration. I think we will be pleasantly surprised as to where.
