...and tell me when has a presidential candidate ever announced his choice for Vice president before the convention?

Always in modern U.S. history?

Obama picked Biden before the convention.
McCain picked Palin before the convention.
Romney picked Paul Ryan on August 10, the Convention in 2012 began on August 27.
Etc., etc., etc.

Why? The president will have all the generals he needs.

Why wait?

We're not talking about delaying a wedding or a holiday celebration.

We're talking about hearing who Trump chooses for VP to help him stamp out ISIS. I think he should have moved up the announcement so that he could then turn his attention to selecting cabinet members.

If you intend to hit an enemy, you hit him as SOON as you can, as HARD as you can, and for as LONG as you must.

The time saved by celebrating a VP sooner can be spent on attacking Hillary sooner and winning the election. Trump needs to be ready to hit ISIS on day one. This isn't September, 2001. It's 2016. We are running very late.

I’ll bet $1000.00 you’re right. Hillary’s drunk right now just like Bengazi. Check in later when she’s sobered up a bit.

Actually, I meant to delay it about the time frame he did. Heck the convention was Monday so it couldn’t be any longer than that. I thought today/tomorrow would be good, though today is better as it still dominates the news cycle.
