It’s only “soft” bigotry until society gets handed the bill as was demonstrated in Dallas.
It rears it head much sooner, as duped employers have them create havoc with competent co-workers with real skills. Under threat of lawsuit they are hired by firms where they are often counterproductive; in the real world the scales fall from their eyes and they realize they’ve been had.
I’ve seen black co-workers gripe about promotions for which they’ve been passed over when they’ve often demonstrated incompetence in a much lower position; there seems to be a union-type mindset where seniority alone makes them eligible (and merit means nothing).
