Usually they are used to bring down the entire bill. Just enough good is placed in bill to make it sound good. But it’s loaded with unrealistic material which will kill the entire bill

Goal is to kill original bill.
So if you want to see what he stood for or against go to the original bill passed by the senate and see what was hidden in it

I always doughty when politicians propose something then say they really weren’t for it - whether it’s Cruz or Pence.
But it the rest of their votes are consistent, like Pence’s appear to be on immigration after some research, it’s more believable.
He’s recently tweeted being for TPP and against Trump banning Muslims, so he’ll have to explain those away.
