Is Manfourt giving signals that he doesn’t want Newt? What isn’t good is that millions of Americans voted for Trump in the primary and Newt has been favored to be VP for months.

And then all of a sudden Manafourt is in charge and it will be very wrong if Newt is shoved out as VP because of Manfort or the Trump kids. Newt has been defending Trump since last Summer. And Manafort shows up and all of a sudden, Pence who endorsed Cruz OVER Trump during the primary gets more attention that Newt?

That is just WRONG on so many levels. Newt has been for Trump since last summer, and yet Trump is considering Pence who went on record for support of Cruz over Trump. That in itself should be a deal breaker.

How about the fact that Pence endorsed Cruz over Trump just a few months ago.

Newt is more loyal. Will accept Pence, but Trump will have a much more work ahead of him if he chooses to pick Pence over Newt as it relates to getting his agenda done.

Duncan Hunter Jr. Is my pick. Young, veteran, solid conservative and the second congressman to board the Trump train! Perfect choice!!

I’m totally a Newt guy. Since 4/5th of the base is voting Trump and not sitting on its hands, Pence must be pulling some of the states like Wisconsin in internal polling to give him the edge

Pence’s experience with Congress is miniscule, really really miniscule compared to Newt’s.

If the story becomes Trump getting pushed around by advisers and not going with his get instinct or comfort zone it is going to bode very ill for future negotiations.

Newt was just as popular last week in OH as Trump. Watch the video.

Newt ups the excitement level out of all the possible nominees.

Will still support Trump, but a Trump / Newt ticket would be the best ticket we have seen in decades and it would be such an elite ticket. No offense to Pence, but…. don’t want to bash him at all.

Just think Trump is missing out on getting things done on a level for We The People that we haven’t seen since Reagan and then Newt’s Contract with America.

Newt is that good. Oh well, still hope it is Newt.

I agree I like Newt but think he’s be a bad VP selection... Too much baggage. Definitely a place for him but don’t think he is the best choice for VP.

They keep saying Manfourt supports Pence. Pence doesnt wield the negotiating power and shrewdness that Newt does.

Both the establishment and left are afraid of Newt. That should tell Trump everything he needs to know on why Newt is the right VP at the right time. Newt is an outsider like Trump. The establishment feels safer with a Pence VP over a Newt VP. That should tell you something and if Manfourt is pushing Pence like the press is saying, that isn’t a good sign.

“There is NO way the Trump campaign would leak a REAL story to CNN. My guess is neither Christie, Newt or Pence will be the VP pick, and Trump will make a surprise announcement to dominate the airwaves during the convention and really get some bounce.

Great minds think alike . I just posted the same thoughts about 30 minutes ago on another thread here .
