Shetamia Taylor is a mother of several children who was shot in the leg by the Dallas shooter. She saw officers shot right in front of her and is very emotional about it. She said the Dallas officers saved the lives of her and her children. They put her in a patrol car riddled with bullet holes and made it to the hospital with only rims. Her interview needs to go viral. Fox News just showed a lot of it a few minutes ago and she could barely stop crying thinking of the officers and their heroic efforts and how they were shot right in front of her.

My first thought was what would possibly possess this mother to even consider taking her children to any protest march, particularly one associated with BLM. Not a good decision IMO.

She said she believed it was a peaceful protest. She is just a mother who is not into politics nor is she an activist.

Thanks! Her interview was very powerful and disputes the narrative against police officers very strongly!

Joe Fryer ‏@joefryer 35m35 minutes ago Emotional story shared by Shetamia Taylor. "They were heroes," she says about #Dallas cops who saved her life. Maybe now she has a whole new perspective for what police officers go through everyday..these protestors ran AWAY from the bullets, the police officers ran TOWARDS the bullets to save lives

That is all that was provided for the live interview. I don’t work for abc news. No need for clicks.

This is a point that I think most people miss: It was a peaceful protest.

There were not arrests or riots during the protests. The people exercised “the right of the people peaceably to assemble”.

There was a very common picture of a protester with a rifle slung over his shoulder. All perfectly legal and reasonable.

It wasn’t until someone who had an agenda to cause death and destruction showed up that the protest became “news worthy”.

We should applaud people who peaceably assemble to protest, even if we hate why they do so. Because we also have the right to assemble and protest.

Lots of kids were at the early Tea Party rallies. I think it would be a bad idea to bring them now that the Dems have gotten uglier and more violent than usual.

That goes without saying, I hope I did not leave another impression. The actions of the officers surrounding her were nothing less than heroic. The actions of all DPD that evening as well.

Lets also be cognizant that some of those same protesters taunted the police after 12 of their own were shot down by a militant black supremist, whose values mirrored BLM.

You are welcome. From all I can see on twitter, everyone felt what she said was very powerful. She did speak a lot longer than this video shows but it may be hard to find the whole interview unless perhaps on youtube.
