Trump may not care about abortion per se, but he cares about winning, and he seems to have got the message that he needs pro-life voters to win this election.

That may have been the case during the primaries. No matter what Trump does or say he doesn't seem to lose his die-hard base. So a case could be made for Trump reaching for social liberals in the general election. So he could pick a social liberal with a macho front like a general. God help us all.
