So there is video. It should be pretty clear who is telling the truth.
How’s that “Reset” working out for ya?
Oh the good ol’ days!
A U.S. spy got caught and a Russian Spy beat the crap out of him, wonder if we still do that? Probably not since Barky is a butt kisser to the whole world...
Obama may not be able to start a world war before he leaves office, but he can lay the groundwork for Hillary.
Most people would have stopped for security. This person for some reason did not want to be stopped.
Also, I believe they should stop people from just going in due to terrorists risk.
Maybe the U.S. diplomat was coming back to the embassy too soon, before the bugging of his office was completed.
Isn’t it something that Obama has actually made us side with the Russians.
Makes you wonder how long the U.S. will be sharing a space station with the Russians and having our astronauts hitching rides on their Soyuz spacecraft at $40-million a ride.
Thank you. Its weird that I tend to believe the Russians before I do our own State Department...
But in this case, it looks like State is telling the truth. Its all too fast, the guard doesn’t have time to actually ask for ID, or confront the guy, he just comes out and tackles him as he’s coming up the stairs. At about :20 you get a glimpse of the guy’s face and it isn’t covered.
I don’t know how others may see it.
The video doesn’t show him “striding to the door”. It shows a taxi pull up quickly, the passenger door opening before it stops, and a guy bails out and rushes the front door. I doubt the cop in the booth by the door knew he was a spy. He actually looked like he was someone you would stop anyway, like a suicide bomber or someone maybe not authorized.
No, in the good old days our spy would be working with an anticommunist or a scientist. Today he was probably coordinating with a Russian gay rights organization.
Pretty nice moves. Even though the guy is tackled, he still manages to drag the Russian guard into the building.
It was interesting. There’s a Russian police booth right before the embassy entrance. Looks like they don’t allow anyone to approach our embassy without showing an ID.
Of course, our embassy doesn’t enforce that rule. But our rules don’t start until inside our door.
Our hero comes zipping by and got tackled by the flatfoot on the night shift, rassles through the door and gets in. Noooo, our guys plan is just run right by. A neat trick....once.
I guess nobody teaches our spys to have a good fake ID to show the guard shack. OR, if he’s a “diplomat” just show your embassy ID.
What I am curious though, who did we expel? Hopefully we had a good idea already who we would expel if we could and were ready to go. But knowing Obama, he would expel the two who were most anti gay or two climate change deniers.
I don’t know the rules for embassies but it seems someone entering would be okay to guards checking them out. The man may have appeared to be entering too quickly without intent of stopping by the guard station. Terrorism always has to be a concern when it comes to embassies. That is why I am not quick to blame the guard for wanting to stop him. I don’t understand all the rules for embassies and that situation.
