Hillary Clinton was interviewed by Scott Pelley and offered a new defense of her careless handling of classified material. Youll be shocked to learn it was all someone elses fault. In addition, she actually had the gall to point to her record as Secretary of State as proof that she takes the handling of classified information seriously.
And to the voters who wonder whether you can be trusted with the nations secrets, you say what? Scott Pelley asked. I say I have been and I have proven that over the course of my 8 years in the Senate; my four years as Secretary of State, Clinton replied. She added with a straight face, I take classified material seriously and this investigation has proven that I had no intent to do anything wrong .
This thread, that Clinton was just a victim of circumstance, came out earlier in the same interview. Asked if she was extremely careless in handling classified information, Clinton first changed the subject to a couple of documents which contained classified markings. Then, without mentioning that over 100 classified emails were found on her private server, Clinton turned the blame on the rest of the State Department. I worked with over 300 people during email exchanges, predominantly in the State Department, she said. I had no reason to second guess their judgments about the material that they were exchanging and that they would forward or send to me.
Clinton phrased this carefully enough that the shifting of blame from herself to others is relatively subtle. But when Pelley pressed thhe point by asking, Well, were you extremely careless? Clinton offered a more blunt version of the same statement. No I was not, she said. She then added, And neither were the 300 people who sent me that material, Scott.

Yeah! She hardly ever GAVE them away!
She must mean her Stand Down in Benghazi episode.
Still sucking down the booze, eh Hillary?
And then she told her creepy son-in-law about inside information about Greek bonds.
She said almost the same thing today with Wolf Blitzen. She’s like a robot. Such a POS.
Hillary still pissing on our legs and telling us it’s raining.
The propaganda phase has now begun.
Yep. Like I said: she tried to not give them away.
None of that would have been a problem had she not put her email on a private server vs the State Dept. server. How many of those employees had the first clue she was using a private server in her home’s basement? No one else was responsible for that decision that underlies all the carelessness, negligence, and harm done to the country.
“She added with a straight face”
Must be the curare.
Nonsense! Keep talking Hildabeast, you can’t dig yourself out of this one.
Actually, Hillary -- you did.
You had the obligation to recognize classified material -- marked or unmarked -- and report any breach.
This was especially true since you had access to SCI.
This was all explained to you during your briefing. Apparently, you weren't paying attention, or thought those rules only applied to the "little people".
Hillary needs to be pressured to...
WHEN IS SHE GOING TO HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE, AND NOT A PREARRANGED ONE...NO QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE, WITH HANDLERS APPROVAL..
FACE THE PRESS, THE MEDIA, THE PEOPLE.
MAYBE THE DNC CAN TELL HER SHE IS ‘OVER DUE’ AND SHE MUST HOLD ONE...
Hillary: “God bless the little people... when you need someone to blame!”
If she had never sent or received a classified document on the server, but had merely conducted her regular SoS duties on the server....she’d still have been extremely careless. The ‘classified’ issue is just where it discretely goes beyond debate.
ROTFLMAO!
She’s almost funnier than Carol Burnett as a stand up comedienne.
They left out a semi-colon. Should be:
" I take classified material; seriously."
But the real question is:
Who does she sell it to when she does take it.
