Police used bomb in civilian situation. They didn't have a bomb, they were attempting to detonate a bomb the perp had.

They didn't have a bomb, they were attempting to detonate a bomb the perp had. Sorry, this post was in error. I'd read earlier reports they'd use a robot to detonate a bomb the perp had. Upon reading additional reports, it appears they did take him out with a bomb.
