Imagine how the results must be in areas where marijuana use is legal.
Failing the drug test will soon be a non issue. Our government will rule by EO that job applicants cannot be drug tested. That should take care of the problem. /sar
I once talked with a teen ager about legalizing marijuana. She thought that legalization would do away with drug tests for employment.
I asked her if she thought it would be wise to show up for a job interview drunk.
Drug Testing is Fascism, Does your employer OWN you?? Do they have any right to dictate what you do in your life when Not on the Job?? Now if you show up loaded then fine, fire their ass.
But until Drug Testing policies are expanded to Cover Every Last Person in the Business, including Owners,Executives, and even SHAREHOLDERS. Why should they be exempt from the Companies Official Drug Testing Policy?? Why would anyone ever agree to take one when it is Obviously Discriminatory?
I have been self employed since 1983, drug testing started years Later. And I would NEVER TAKE ON For any reason.
I have only had 1 occasion in my life where I was asked to take a Drug Test, it was during the Custody Hearing of my 7 yr old daughter. The Judge Asked my lawyer If I would take a drug test, I said NO Your Honor, I quit Testing Drugs after High School, I know which ones I like. My Lawyer and the Judfe both looked at me and told me that what he means is he wants me to pee in a cup to see if I was taking Drugs. My response in Open Court was “What day do you go take yours your Honor, I will drive, we can go together”. The Judge decided NO Drug Testing would be necessary and awarded me FULL CUSTODY, with Monitored Visitation at My Discretion for the Egg Donor.

As more and more states legalize marijuana, will more and more be high on drugs?
In states where it’s legal now, anybody know, is it still legal to do drug testing for jobs?
