Mitt Romneys 2012 presidential campaign never recovered ...
The incident has become a case study not only in watching ones words (and being nice to your waiters), but in spin control. Hammered by the media and the Democrats for sounding elitist and insulting half the country, Romney first blamed the listeners, saying they had misheard what he intended as innocuous demographic analysis. Later, as the transcripts of the video made clear that he said what everyone thought he said, Romney fell back on the classic dodge that his remarks had been taken out of context.
A lot went wrong for Romney that year, and the remarks werent the only reason independent voters felt that Romney cared more about Wall Street than Main Street. But some regard the incident as a classic case study in bungled PR. Lanny Davis, the Clinton White House lawyer and an author of a book on crisis management, has suggested what Romney ought to have said: You know, that was a stupid mistake and I didnt mean it of course those 47 percent are composed of a variety of voters who have many reasons for not being for me not related to government, and I want to apologize to them for my mistake.
Had Romney admitted his gaffe, wrote Davis, the 47 percent issue would have gone away almost instantly. Davis rule: Tell it all, tell it early, tell it yourself.
Its probably safe to assume that Donald Trump hasnt read Davis book....
The current brouhaha started when critics noticed how a tweet from Trump's campaign lambasting Hillary Clinton as the most corrupt candidate ever featured a six-pointed star and a pile of money....

Jared Kushner: The Donald Trump I Know
By Jared Kushner 07/06/16 1:37pm
In my opinion, accusations like racist and anti-Semite are being thrown around with a carelessness that risks rendering these words meaningless.
If even the slightest infraction against what the speech police have deemed correct speech is instantly shouted down with taunts of racist then what is left to condemn the actual racists? What do we call the people who wont hire minorities or beat others up for their religion?
This is not idle philosophy to me. I am the grandson of Holocaust survivors. On December 7, 1941Pearl Harbor Daythe Nazis surrounded the ghetto of Novogroduk, and sorted the residents into two lines: those selected to die were put on the right; those who would live were put on the left. My grandmothers sister, Esther, raced into a building to hide. A boy who had seen her running dragged her out and she was one of about 5100 Jews to be killed during this first slaughter of the Jews in Novogrudok. On the night before Rosh Hashana 1943, the 250 Jews who remained of the towns 20,000 plotted an escape through a tunnel they had painstakingly dug beneath the fence. The searchlights were disabled and the Jews removed nails from the metal roof so that it would rattle in the wind and hopefully mask the sounds of the escaping prisoners.

The above paragraph is an excerpt from the article. Everyone should read this heart felt and moving article by Jared Kushner, Ivanka’s husband.

Let the morons talk to themselves.
If low IQ morons' votes outnumbers those of people who produce and actually pay all government expenses, we either suck it up, or try something different.
Who cares about this? The 90% of Jews who all seem to vote Democrat anyway?
They might, so just in case they do, here’s the excuse they need. Trump is anti-Semitic. He doesn’t even give his grandkids Christmas presents if they’re Jewish, just cheap, jive-ass Chanuka trinkets. So vote for Hillary.
Conservative Jews hate the liberal ones. The Star Of David meme attack on Trump is just a fake outrage and ut means nothing to the general public.
I don’t hate my father.
Whatever that means in your world.
Yes and the red sheriff’s star is a non issue. Only a frothing at the mouth Dem would even take note of it. The average voter not at all.
