Really? Where, in the Constitution is it stated: “you are required to inform him that you have a concealed weapon on your person or in your vehicle.”
Start ANY conversation with a stranger ANYWHERE in our society with the words “I have a gun”, and see how it turns out. STUPID!

When they passed Constitutional Carry in Maine a year ago, that was part of the law, that you have to inform a cop you are carrying concealed.
The powers that be put it in the law, probably in order to get more votes in the Maine House and Maine Senate in order to ensure it’s passage.
I don’t necessarily like that provision either, but most cops here in Maine wouldn’t be surprised if someone tells them they’re armed. It’s part of the culture here.
