The President doesn’t require a security clearance. At least this was the case when I was an FSO in 1999.

He could not / would not provide enough information to get TOP SECRET because much of his personal information was deliberately HIDDEN under lock and key by executive order (I believe) when he first because “president”. This of course was done to hide WHO AND WHAT he really is.
