5 takeaways from Clinton's email reprieve (Libtards gloating and lamenting alert)
Politico ^ | July 5, 2016 | Glenn Thrush

While the campaign dodges a bullet - dashing GOP hopes - the scandal will live on.

The Republicans, they had a dream.

And in that dream, Hillary Rodham Clinton, the only presidential candidate at the major-party level with a functional campaign and (relatively) united party behind her, is led out of Whitehaven in handcuffs to face a campaign-killing indictment for setting up an illegal email server.

For the past 16 months, since the New York Times "homebrew" server story broke, GOP operatives, voters, talk-radio and media types, have banked on an FBI deus ex machina to once and for all crush the Wicked Witch of the Left. Then, on Tuesday, bureau director James Comey, a career prosecutor who reeks of rectitude and contempt for Clinton's behavior, walks to a podium to declare Madam Secretary's actions had been "extremely careless" but not criminal.

[Snip]

Clinton's people were always confident this day would come, but they didn’t want to test Miller’s proposition - one maudlin low-level staffer lamented, earlier in the spring, that "the race is ours, so long as she doesn’t get indicted." I couldn't tell if he was joking, and neither could he.

Congrats, Brooklyn. The boss won't have to put her wallet, keys and belt in the big steel box. But hold the handstands. The email scandal (yes, we still get to call it that) has already done serious damage to a candidate who didn't enjoy a sterling reputation to start with, created weeks of needless distraction and spotlighted her management weaknesses at a time when she is supposed to be selling the American electorate on her steadiness, competence and smarts in comparison to big, bad you-know-who.

Here are five consequences of Comey's decision:

Politico's list of five terrible consequences for the old amoral, corrupt, drunken, bisexual witch:

  1. Americans still don’t trust Clinton.
  2. Paranoia may destroy her.
  3. The system is rigged!
  4. Trump vs. Comey?
  5. Stop using email.

Comey certainly focused on the "server" or "servers" as being the issue--not, as Hillary has insisted, that it was just a silly argument at her personal emails.

For any who understand technology and are honest seekers of truth, that changes the discussion.

For technology illiterates, perhaps she can continue to talk about "security inquiries" and "emails," but when a foreign government comes out with an announcement that her carelessness allowed them to target innocent Americans, or American troops, then maybe they will begin to question her fitness to serve.

The author writes as though there is no scandal simply because she has not been indicted. Comey’s remarks (which are far from a complete overview of her malfeasance just in the email matters) demonstrate that Hillary has been reckless, dishonest, incompetent, and just plain stoopid in her handling of numerous items of national security importance. She has been “extremely” irresponsible and reckless, whether or not that is indictable for this case. This is not some mere “Republican” scandal concoction, this is a clear set of facts established by a lengthy FBI investigation. THAT situation remains an outrageous scandal for Hillary Clinton to deal with.

This POS member of the ruling class is the progeny of the greatest generation. Amazing that in a single pass, we go from people who owned and guided this great nation from a Christian worldview, believed in the value of honesty and hard work, altruism, American exceptionalism, who celebrated genuine heroes, modeled ethical behavior, hated and warred against oppressive forms of gov’t, weren’t offended easily, invented just about everything useful today to an generation of morally bankrupt, self-serving, thoroughly corrupt, nonredeemable piss-ants. From We the People to Me the Person. One generation! All-time WTF? I’m ashamed and embarrassed to be among them.

They should bring charges against one or more of Clinton's underlings, who also broke the law. Don't charge HRC.

It will be obvious to all who's really guilty.
