The only trouble is for the American taxpayer, who pays the bills, most of whom follow the law and is at the mercy of a criminal federal government. The United States government has been overthrown by either Communists, Marxists, or Middle Eastern Terrorists, possibly all of them, it is complete and that is not hyperbole.
The problem is that taxpayers do not pay "the bills". "The bills" are paid by deficit spending and raising the national debt, and taxes are used for paying the interest on that debt, although some taxes are used for paying some part of "the bills".
That is the beauty of deficit spending: It decouples the revenue from the taxpayer, making government spending entirely controllable by government itself. Nobody really understands that whole deficit thing, even as they use their credit card to buy groceries and pay for movie tickets and gasoline. So when the govenment needs more money, they vote to take out more credit, and since the tax bill doesn't go up, it must be OK with the taxpayer.
There should be quotes around the word, taxpayer.
