I have to laugh everytime I hear some tourist skier at Big Sky proclaim that they are leaving to return to “civilization”. The airport is quite near Bozeman, a People’s Republic if there was ever one. Now that a Habor Freight Store has arrived, there is NO reason not to live nearby.

I guess you are from the East?
I assure you we have electricity, telephones, television and the internet here in Montana. Likely my property costs more than yours as well.
San Juans? More expensive (mostly) and all the above mentioned ‘goodies.’
I understand what you are getting at, but we are quite advanced here.
