Clinton camp opposes special prosecutor for emails

A key Hillary Clinton supporter on Sunday rejected the idea of appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the former secretary of state's private emails, and said the investigation has not been compromised despite Attorney General Loretta Lynch's private meeting with the candidate's husband, Bill Clinton, last week.

Rep. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif., said repeatedly on "Fox News Sunday" that Bill Clinton's meeting with Lynch was just a "chance encounter" and therefore didn't require Lynch to recuse herself. The attorney general has said she would follow the advice of career prosecutors at the Justice Department, he noted.

"Why stop that process?" Becerra asked. "Just because you have a chance encounter with Bill Clinton, you don't throw that away."

The probe is apparently close to wrapping up.

No one knows for sure what occurred and what was talked about, or what was discussed, except for what the respective bureaucrats have publicly stated; one is a proven, and impeached liar, and the other is a professional political enabler, and neither has a record of honesty in support of their oath of office.

I expect Congress to call Lynch up to the hill to explain that meeting. It's their constitutional duty to do so.

Just a "chance encounter".The chance encounters I have typically last for a minute or two,don't take place in a private aircraft,and don't involve a person supervising the criminal investigation of a close member of my family.

You don't really think she'll be indicted I hope.The best thing that can happen is...it will soon be announced by Lynch that "there's nothing to see here,move along now" and soon after that one or more senior people in the FBI and/or DOJ will resign publicly stating that they're convinced that the fix was in.

Trump can run with that from now until November.He can run with this even without the resignations but much less effectively...the Clinton Crime Family would be able to effectively fight back (fighting dirty,of course) in such a case.
