Anyone with ties to Romney is, without any other “qualifier, a no-go IMO. I think Trump knows that too.

Romney stinks up everything he touches. His adherents are usually found out to be back stabbing vile creatures. (see Nicole Wallace’s treachery in re: Sarah Palin)

As for Joni Ernst I just don’t see her as a viable Trump VP selection. Too green and politically unproven.

I don’t pretend to know what Trump’s criteria for VP is, but I don’t think the usual roundup of choices fit the bill.

Like a birthday party I’m willing to be surprised on the convention floor.....
