Eyewitnesses say the victim was walking with a friend when he stepped on something and it blew up. Neither of the two was carrying anything at the time.
WCBS 880 reported the victim was with a group of three young men from the Washington, D.C., area.
“I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what happened,” one of the men told WCBS 880.
An eyewitness told CBS2 that a man was climbing a rock structure and stepped on something that “exploded.”
The pipe bomb he had concealed slipped, errant powder in the threads on the end cap acted as ignition/primer. Wanna bet said young man’s religion? He is not the victim.
