Is the APA connected to the Am Medical Association, the same organization you know...who showed up at Buttcrack Odumbo’s obamacare speech and rolled out these fake doctors at the background?
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists supports legal abortion, and some of their members may do that kind of work. Needless to say the loss of life from that kind of medical procedure is not included in the totals.
Having your life ended by a doctor is much more likely than having your life ended by someone using a firearm.
One of the APA groups is the American Psychological Association, whose membership is composed primarily of individuals who have a PhD, Ed.D. or a couple of other sets of alphabet. They are Board certified in the field of mental health but cannot prescribe psychotropic drugs there is a state law permitting them to do so and they have received specific training in that field. Generally do psychotherapy, psychological testing and research.
The other APA group is the American Psychiatric Association, composed primarily of psychiatrists who have an M.D. degree. All the psychiatrists I have ever worked with are also members of the AMA. They generally do the meds portion of treatment, although this is being taken over by Primary Care Physicians, to a great extent.
