I would rather see Newt as his Senior Advisor -

He would, ipso facto, then be the President - as “Val” is now.

Trump is a CEO - the presidency is a
‘business’ - and Trump runs his businesses by putting the right people at the front desk -

I think Newt’s brilliance and experience would be wasted in the VP position.

Pence might be a good bet for VP - and still young enough to move into the presidency next.

UNLESS, as someone wondered, would Trump put in Newt as VP with the idea that he’d only serve one term and then turn it over to Newt?

Trump didn’t get in the race to win - never thought he’d b e where he is now - his aim was to shake things up and make Americans WAKE up. I doubt he’s thinking he wants to be anchored to the Oval Office for 8 years...but he knows how to find and install the right people in the right spots...
