I think we can be grateful to God for “our daily pork” on our tables, at the same time being freshly mindful of the need to be better stewards of His blessings in the future. It isn’t all about us, in the end. It’s all about God, who even uses the humble pig.
Before every meal we should give thanks to God for the blessings that sustain us.
This weekend let us give thanks but also pray God that He spare this great nation, which He helped to create, from a horrible fate. Scripture is replete with accounts of nations destroyed for forsaking His commandments.
The darkness is already on the horizon, I fear.
