I think it's plausible, because it's something Bill Clinton would do. He appointed Lynch to the post that led to her current position, and he figured she owed him. It's classic sociopathic behavior.

Lynch should have told Bill right there: "I'm sorry, but I cannot talk to you now. Goodbye." -- in front of witnesses, and call a press conference at the first opportunity.

The agent says her staff was "freaking out" -- if they were worth anything at all, they would have given her an excuse to get away from Bill and warn her. Perhaps they did, and she blew them off.

But, Lynch didn't cut Bill off. And now, she has to take responsibility for it.

I understand that neither the FBI or Secret Service could do anything about it. And, they wouldn't have gotten any prior notice. Bill was tipped off by someone, and he took the opportunity by delaying his departure.

If Lynch had any sense at all, she would be completely forthcoming about the entire conversation, because her current version is completely unbelievable.

Does not the Secret Service protect ex-presidents and current cabinet officials? There's your someone--in the SS.

How fitting.
