US Attorney General Loretta Lynch has recused herself from deciding whether Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be charged in the classified email investigation, following outrage over the AG's private Monday meeting with Bill Clinton, the justice department announced Friday morning.
The announcement comes in the wake of accusations that the Obama appointee has a conflict of interest in the case, after she met with the former president on her government plane while on the tarmac of Phoenix, Arizona's Sky Harbor Airport on Monday.
Lynch will discuss the decision during an interview on Friday morning at the Aspen Ideas Festival, an anonymous DOJ official said.
Normally, the AG and other DOJ officials would have the final say in bringing charges in an investigation, but Monday’s 30 minute meeting is thought to have led to the change in protocol.
Although Lynch stressed the two did not discuss official business, she was accused of impropriety and and urged to recuse herself.

This is a charade - they were never going to bring charges and Lynch would have been blamed. Now she is off the hook - a complete whitewash.

This was a set-up from the beginning. Now someone will be in charge who will not bring charges and everyone will say “And independent prosecutor found no wrongdoing” Independent my A@@.
Still believe nothing will come from the FBI until after the election, at which point the FBI abandons the investigation. Payoffs have already been made to Loretta. This means absolutely nothing.

This only gives the DOJ a way to say “We’ve bent over backwards to make this a fair and impartial process.”...when the DOJ doesn’t indict Hillary.
Also, does anyone REALLY believe Lynch is out of the process? Really?
