The Monsoons have descended upon us here in the desert. Coverage is spotty but intense. For us, a few rain drops, the threat of a dust storm, and a rise in humidity was the big show last night. Of note- the mountain thunderstorms in AZ, during the Monsoons, ferociously spawn lightning strikes that will turn the hardest atheist into a temporary convert. Sitting on the porch during one of these bruisers takes testicular (and ovarian) fortitude!
And... AZ’s desert clime, has over 300 cloudless days a year... so any weather change is normally welcome.
Does that mean you’re not coming on the train for Brunch?
I was at a conference in AZ once. Tucson I think. Sitting at the pool. Totally cloudless sky, then all of sudden these Monsoon rains!!!!!! Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot... what the heck is this... Lasting a minute or so... we’d be drenched....
One of my nephews married a girl from Arizona. He loves it. All of her family is there, while his is in Florida.
I’ve been to the Grand Canyon, many years ago. It’s breathtakingly beautiful.
