Lowering of standards
Even years ago people stopped using words. — blame it on TV.
My son aced the senior graduation vocabulary test. He was in second grade. He wanted to know why he couldn’t just go on to college.
Recently a freeper used the non-word “wahla”. I was shocked.

This is a word used by people who don’t know how to spell the French word “voila.” It is used to indicate either surprise or something akin to “Eureka!” or “A-hah!”
We spend more and more tax dollars for our public schools and receive nothing for it.
I blame it on a whole LOT of different things....parents, texting, really dumbing down all levels of ALL schools, tests, lousy teaching/teachers, movies, music ( if you can call it that ), and T.V.!
