It's friendly in the winter too, if you fit in. Non-stop party doesn't stop for winter either ;-)

Obama loves Acadia...there’s a picture of him somewhere on the net filling his face with ice cream at a local shop some years back...

A little trivia, if no one has beaten me to it yet. Acadia was once part of the French colonies in North America. It figures prominently in the poem “Evangeline”, by Longfellow. It is also the origin of the word “Cajuns” of Louisiana. When a lot of French left Acadia and settled in the south of the US, their ethnic name Acadians was corrupted into the now familiar word Cajuns.
