I went back and re-read the article several times. It says that the neighbors hailed the farmer as a 'hero'.
Just the neighbors. Had it not been for the actions of Nicole, Betty and Avtar, that babygirl would have drowned.
If I had seen that effort and been a neighbor, much less a parent, DAMNED STRAIGHT I would consider it "HEROIC"!
