Today she held a campaign event in her primary fight with John McCain in a restaurant in Tempe. Attended by about 50 and CNN -- I was also there.
The McCain campaign realizes (from polling that they are doing in AZ) that Kelli is a threat. They are running nasty attack ads and putting up nasty attack websites, in fact, Bing gives the McCain promoting attack site when you put in her url.
These attack ads are actually helping her because so many are tired of John.

John is, what was called in the 18th and 19th century, a seeker after Place. He has no good character or means of self respect so he has to have this death grip on his Senatorial seat to be able to look in the mirror.

John is a real artist at how he carries himself in local media. He is very careful to make himself available to the local talk radio jocks. When he goes on he is not stingy with his time he gives them. He always presents the pragmatic, long-experienced, or insider knowledge excuses for the positions he takes that have most of us enraged.
He does a better job of how he does this than he does on most of his appearances on national news issues. Of course there is a reason for that fact. Concerns of the nation really don’t run that deep in John’s world while concerns for keeping his lifetime job is his number one priority.
I sure agree that we sell some beer in AZ. However, I like odd statistical analysis and I looked up the per capita ratings for the 50 states in beer, craft beer, and in ethanol consumption in general and AZ is in the mid range in all of those from the ten different studies I found. We don’t even rate in the top ten in any of them.
The highest gallons per capita belong to either North Dakota or New Hampshire with the later being cited the most.
Now adding in weed is probably a different story but I didn’t go there. The number of seniors probably throws Florida and ourselves out of the running for average consumption.

Kelli actually graduated from same High School as my Sister - Bridgeport HS, Bridgeport WVa.
It is always a small world. I just found out a kid I grew up with is with the prosecutor’s office in Ferguson, Missouri.
