Above url goes to the Kelli Ward for Senate site dedicated to Attacks and Facts.
Today she held a campaign event in her primary fight with John McCain in a restaurant in Tempe. Attended by about 50 and CNN -- I was also there.
The McCain campaign realizes (from polling that they are doing in AZ) that Kelli is a threat. They are running nasty attack ads and putting up nasty attack websites, in fact, Bing gives the McCain promoting attack site when you put in her url.
These attack ads are actually helping her because so many are tired of John.
Three out of four of those sound good.
Good job.
LOL
Talking reasonably with CNN never hurts. If we let them invent all of their items filmed, they invent the whole event.
I include the linked web page of Kelli’s as it carries the responses to all of the idiot McCain’s false stories.
He wants to paint her as a fringe kook.
I hope it plays out like the Brat-Cantor race, where Cantor's negative adds helped Brat, especially with name recognition.
C’mon AZ, dump this stodgy old turd.
That is exactly what she said was happening. Some people she knew slightly at her work setting did not even know she was mounting a primary challenge and the attack ads alerted them and gave them a place to center their support and donations.
Exactly what happened with Forbes vs Taylor. The attacks were over the top and Taylor won in spite of being outspent 10 to 1.
To the dismay of more than a few vichy FReepers.
sorry to have missed you — perhaps next time.
I made a donation to Kelli. I don’t know if it’s because my location is in Arizona, but half of the political sites I visit give me unwanted vicious attack ads sponsored by the Friends of McCain. Very irritating.
There is zero upside to talking with the press. They will act friendly, then edit the exchange to fit their narrative. Getting live teevee time is different, but they will still edit the exchange for any subsequent replay.
Zero is perhaps to strong but I agree with your point overall.
However, they are there and I am there. I can let them find a kook or try to present myself in a manner that is hard to twist to being a kook and eat up their time. Small cost to me and only an upside in the outcome.
I was there. 4 of us drove up from Tucson. It was a great event.
...to strong should have been, "too strong"
Would love to. Unfortunately McCain's wife's company controls the distribution of Budweiser in AZ. As I'm sure you understand, in a state where it's been above 110 for the majority of days for the past month, beer is an important and valuable resource. This means the woman has more money than God and uses it to fund super pacs that run some of the nastiest, most dishonest attack ads I've ever seen. Kelli's campaign is by comparison badly underfunded.
It is a testament to how detested McCain has become that besides the name recognition gap, the funding gap and the filthy attack ads, she is doing as well as she is. In the meantime, let's all contribute all we can in terms of money, time and social networking to help Kelli retire this despicable man.
Perhaps I should have circulated more. I told the people at my table in the center that I was a participant in FR and got recognition of the site but nothing specific. They were so nice to talk to that my wife and I visited with them the whole time.
I was over near the vanity website guy that was filming who had on a shirt saying Trump and his site name who is following her every day. I guess he has little else to post.
Next time I hope to get to see you in person DL.
I’m going to do my part to unseat McCain!
What InABunker says is true. Type in kelliward.com (her site) into any big search engine like Google or Bing and the first site that comes up is not hers but a paid ad for a site called Kelliwardsays.com which is a site with nasty lies and attack ads probable paid by Johnny boys buddies at arms length.
Same old McCain.
Support his friends “across the aisle” and attack Conservatives with lies.
