As an expert, I guess you must have heard the name Ronaldus Magnus. It a latinized name given Ronald Reagan when he was POTUS. The screen name I wanted, Texican, was unavailable, so I added US to create a latinized version of Texican. You have been the only one in all my time on FR to dwell over t the word ANUS in my screen name. Are you queer or something.

Latinizing leaders names ( usually kings and queens names ) goes back millennia. You aren't a kind nor a queen, or even a president.

Since you knew Ronald and Nancy Reagan and worked on his campaign, that would be around 1980. I’m guessing you could be somewhere in your late 5o’s or 6o’s depending on your age around 1980. Since computers were the size of a room when you were a kid, I’m guessing you’re nearing he “old fart with a bad attitude about the younger generation” stage.

Well you got me beat with your 4 years of Latin. I only had 2 years, but I was in an advanced placement program during my high school years and graduated one year ahead of my class. So I did not have the time to cram 4 years into the 2 years of foreign language credit required to graduate. BTW, do you sprechen sie COBOL as well as Latin?

I have no idea how old most FReepers are nor do I care as long as we share our conservative values. I find many of them are proactive at the grassroots level and I like to discuss various topics relating to that.
