Down the road from me the little town of Donora is the worst off. At one time it had the largest steel mill in the world there. There are no stores,banks,gas stations,etc. All closed up. A indie zombie movie was filmed there a few years ago because the town looks apocalyptic.

I posted on another thread yesterday that a year or so ago I went to a County tax sale in Washington, PA. The list of delinquent properties in Donora and Charleroi was so long, the County official who was conducting the sale joked that he would offer the entire town of Charleroi (and same for Donora) to anyone in the crowd for $10K.
