some gee whiz info about Elizabeth Warren I did not know until now ... Elizabeth Herring married Jim Warren and became Elizabeth Warren. She divorced Jim Warren in 1978 and was remarried to Bruce Mann in 1980 but retained the surname of her first husband. I know this sort of thing happens but it does seem odd to me.
sorry for the sidetrack .... but here is an old Free Republic article I had never read claiming Warren’s ancestor not only was not Cherokee but actually rounded up Cherokees during the Trail of Tears. :-) Since I am 1/32 North Carolina Cherokee (confirmed) it was of interest to me.
