Has Donald J. Trump become a born-again Christian?
That is the suggestion of James C. Dobson, one of America’s leading evangelicals, who said Mr. Trump had recently come “to accept a relationship with Christ” and was now “a baby Christian.”
Dr. Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family and one of the country’s most prominent social conservatives, gave his account at a meeting Mr. Trump had in New York on Tuesday with hundreds of Christian conservatives.
In an interview recorded at the event by a Pennsylvania pastor, the Rev. Michael Anthony, Dr. Dobson said he knew the person who had led Mr. Trump to Christ, though he did not name him.
“I don’t know when it was, but it has not been long,” Dr. Dobson said. “I believe he really made a commitment, but he’s a baby Christian.”
Mr. Anthony posted the interview to his blog on Friday. Dr. Dobson could not be reached on Saturday, and Hope Hicks, the Trump campaign spokeswoman, did not respond Saturday to a request for details.

In his interview, Dr. Dobson conceded that Mr. Trump did not exactly fit the typical mold of an evangelical.
“He used the word ‘hell’ four or five times,” he said. “He doesn’t know our language.” He added that Mr. Trump “refers a lot to religion and not much to faith and belief.”
For evangelicals, the heart of Christianity is a faith-based dependence on God. They often contrast this with what they characterize as merely “religion,” which they view as more rules and rituals-based.

I am cautious too, been around too many “thus sayeth the Lords”. If he can prove his prophecy was from 2011 (not just saying it was) it would be more credible. Just googled a little, couldn’t find an original 2011 date for him. Thanks for your input.
The Daily Mail was more puzzled (or maybe pretended to be so):

“Exactly what he means by ‘led to Christ’ isn’t clear in the interview, but The New York Times suggested that this might be someone with whom Trump may have prayed for forgiveness for his sins.”
And they also wrote this:
“And he said that Trump, who was previously on record and being a Presbyterian, ‘refers a lot to religion and not much to faith and belief’ - a faux pas for evangelicals.
“They believe that a spiritual, faith-based connection to God is key, rather than ‘religion’, which are the trappings built up around that faith.”
Perhaps not a good with with the stereotype or a “born-again, evangelical Christian.”
And thank God for that.
Not all born again Christians like the stereotypes that we are presented with and labeled with.
I take it as a compliment when someone says to me *Gee, you don't act like a Christian*, cause I know what they mean by the term Christian.
There are many Christians these days who don't like the churchianity mold and want to get right back to the basics.
Some of the most fervent Christians I know, the ones who lobe God the most, are also the most rough around the edges.
Jesus hung out with the tax collectors and prostitutes. He was accused by the religious establishment of the day of being a drunkard and glutton.
Our system if the messed up one if Christians won't associate with those who need to hear about Jesus the most.
Jesus didn't save us to form safe, tidy, little country clubs called churches and associate only with other believers.
Dobson is doing Trump no favors.
Anyone elses faith is no one business except that person and Jesus. Let the liberals run away with this and they will make it look like Cruz/Beck Mormonfest.

So God looked into the universe at the beginning and said the Trump people will be my elect and lets let that hate mongering Cruz bunch go to hell! You have got to be a Calvinist of the worst sort!
